Nails, Nails, Nails!

Time for new nails! Wanted to try out the new colors I recently bought from the drugstore off post. Love the pink nude for a toned down look this time around. And I added the red sandy nail polish on my ring finger. Really love the texture of this nail polish. Would love to try out their other colors! Here is the outcome.. hope you love it :)

New Products Haul

Yes, I have been shopping for a few new products on and off post. Some items I needed and some I just wanted to try out. Here are some of the products I bought -

So the brand P2 came out with a few new lip colors. This is one of them and I am just loving bright colors this season. The color is called "Vegas Strip." It is really pigmented and just soft on the lips. Another P2 product I bought is this duo bronzer. It has some gold shimmer in the middle. Really great for summer! I needed a good eye make up remover so I bought this Almay make up remover. It's oil free which is a plus for me because I do have oily/combination skin. I also watched a tutorial for cleaning your false lashes using this make up remover and it works great! If you want to watch the tutorial I am talking about, click here. The last thing from this picture is the Purity face wash. I seen a lot of beauty gurus on youtube talk about this product. It's supposed to be a good face wash and it really cleans your face and takes off make up. I thought I should try it since I do wear make up every time I leave the house. It's quite pricey so I bought the little bottle just to try it out for now.

A lipstick from the brand Manhattan. They had 4 new colors for this season and I thought I would give this nude color a try. It's more of a pinky nude and I love it specially when paired up with a gloss. It has a nice finish to it. Next is a P2 nail polish. They have a new line called Sandy nail polish. It does have a sandy texture and I love it! I have been wanting something like this for a long time because they had this in Japan awhile ago but it wasn't a nail polish. It was more of a sandy powder you can put on top of your nail polish. So I'm glad this brand came out with this line. I can't wait to try the other colors! Another nail polish I got was this Catrice from the Nudes line. It's a pink nude color and I love it. Last is this duo eyeshadow from Manhattan. I wasn't going to buy this, but what sold it to me was the picture of their model with the product on. I'm not really great on putting on shadows.. let's say I am still learning and I need to learn how they used this product on the model because it looked great!

On my last set of products, the first one is just a clear mascara from the brand Alverde. I never bought anything from this line, but they were the only line that carried a clear mascara at that time. I bought it just to tame my eyebrows. It does it's job :) Next is P2's Prepare your lips lip base. My lips are usually dry and full of lines so I figured using a lip base might help me with my problem and also give my lipstick a boost once I apply it. Tried it a few times and it does help set the lipstick pretty well. Last item from this haul is from P2 - Couture Lip Polish Stain. Wanted to try a nude pink. Yes, me and pinks! Love it :) It's not very shiny.. more of a creamy texture, but I love the color!

Cupcakes

It's been awhile since I last made cupcakes so I decided to make some mini cupcakes at a get together. I was invited to a get together and every time, I just feel like I need to bring some kind of dish or dessert. It was last minute so I decided to make cupcakes. The flavor I chose this time was Triple Banana Double Caramel Mini Cupcakes. Got this recipe here. Enjoy and let me know how it turns out if you try it :)

Turn out of my cupcakes. It was yummy and somewhat healthy ;)

Goodies from Sis

I recently bought the Mini Keurig because I am a coffee drinker and I have just been curious because I have been seeing a lot of K-cup flavors they offer. They just sound so yummy! :) So that's what made me buy the Mini Keurig.. plus I'm the only one in my household that drinks coffee so I figured the mini will be fine. I forgot to add it on the list of my favorite things last month. Oh well.. I still love it :)

Unfortunately, they don't sell a lot of the different flavors they have for the Keurig here. So I have to buy them online. Luckily, where my sister is stationed at, they sell more than what we have here. So she bought me a couple of flavors that she loves - Kahlua and Macadamia Cookie. Doesn't it sound good?

February Glam Bag

So I've been receiving My Glam Bag subscription in the mail for awhile now, but I figured I should also start sharing it with you guys. I've been happy with most of the bags I have been getting. Some have regular size items and some have samples. Subscription is only $10 a month and i think it's well worth it. They just recently changed their name to Ipsy.. it was My Glam Bag when it first started and I still like calling it Glam Bag for some reason :) Anyway, click here if you would like to sign up! It's a great way to try out new products!

For the month of February, I received Lash Card Mascara Shield (4 lash cards came with it), Pixi - Flawless and Poreless (Primer), Pop Beauty Mascara in Smoky black, Mica Beauty cosmetics gel eyeliner in black, and 4 neutral eyeshadow from Coastal Scents. I really like the items I received this month. I tried using the lash card, but I had a hard time. Just because I am not used to using it. The package does come with instructions on how to use it.

My Goodies!

So hubby finally got back today from the States and he got me some goodies! So excited! Of course, they don't sell any of these stuff here so I'm happy that I can get my hands on some of them. Thank you hubby! :)

First on my list is the Pantene Expert AgeDefy Advanced Thickening Treatment. Long name huh? Lol :) Seen this product on Allure.com. It must be a good product then right? :) We will see once I try it out. My hair is just thin and I feel like I will be balding early at age because I have been doing too much to my hair! So I hope this helps.

I had to get some Nivea lip butters! All I hear are good things about it so I wanted to try it. And I am always in need of a good chapstick! My lips are just always dry. I have tried one and they feel super soft on the lips. Let's hope they keep my lips moisturized at all times! Second are some colors from the Maybelline Vivids collection. Haven't tried any of them, but I am loving the colors on the tube. Will update you all on how they look in the future. Third, is the Loreal True Match super-blendable crayon concealer. Have not tried this one yet either, but I am excited to try it.

Last set are some more lip stuff! Can you tell that I'm addicted to lip stuff! Lol :) So everyone has been rambling about the EOS lip balms. They are cute and smell good too. I got too excited that I opened them right away :) Last thing are the Maybelline Whispers. Tried one color and it's a pretty good lipstick for everyday wear. Can't wait to try all of them!

Online Shopping

I just received a few boxes in the mail and I am excited! This is one reason why I can't wait to move to the States. Being overseas we are kind of deprived of certain food and stuff! Sometimes even if the local stores have the stuff we're looking for, they are just way over priced! Anyway, here are the stuff I got in the mail..

I took a picture when I got this box, but they got deleted before I was able to transfer it :( Anyway, I got these from Amazon. I bought a carousel for my Keurig K-cups. I thought it was a neat way to put my k-cups in. Didn't want to keep them in the box they came in. Next one was a jewelry holder. I have been meaning to get one because I needed a holder for my bracelets and watches. I haven't really been able to organize it yet.. just started putting the new items I just bought.

I couldn't wait to open this package because it just literally took forever! Love the products from the company (Vanity Affair)and pretty good prices, but I didn't like their customer service at all! They waited 2 weeks for me to email them and then they sent my package because they had to ask me about my address! Why couldn't they email me as soon as I placed my order and they had a question? Right? Is that crazy or is that crazy? Lol. Okay other than that, love the products! :)

Next box.. Sephora! Okay, so I barely buy stuff from this store because it can be a little pricey and also I would rather be back in the States to buy products so that I can test them out first. Anyway, I was tempted.. been watching so many youtube channels that I had to try some products. Lol :) I really was just going to buy the Josie Maran Argan Oil because I heard too much good stuff about it. I had to try out some Benefit products. I have tried some of the products and I'm loving it so far. I might just end up buying the regular size for some of the products in the future ;) Of course the box came with some free samples. Can't wait to try the Tarte BB Cream!

Last box is from Lulus. What can I say.. cute products and fast shipping! In love with the sideways cross necklace so I had to get me one. Plus it matches the bracelet my friend gave me. I had to get me a black sneaker wedge. They had one here at our PX by Sketchers, but it was just too expensive for me! Glad I found this one. Thanks Lulus :)

Nails, Nails, Nails!

Felt like doing something dark so I picked this dark purple with fuchsia glitters (Revlon) and a Purpley-pink color on my ring finger.

February Favorites

Hi ladies! This is my very first Favorites blog! I'm excited because I do have a few things I loved in the month of February. Hoping to have more for this month so we will see. Anyway, let's get started...

Okay, so my first favorite is my Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation. This is just the perfect color for me and it doesn't look cakey and it is pretty buildable. Next one is my Instant Age Rewind Concealer by Maybelline. This has just been my fave concealer. Great for under eye dark circles and also to cover up blemishes and spots. Next is my Emjoi Epil/Slim shaver. I do have the big one for my legs, but I bought a smaller one to use for my underarm. It's been working great and my skin just feels smooth. Next is my beauty blender. I have been using this with my Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation and it has been giving me an airbrush look and very easy to use. This one on the picture is a new one.. because the one I have been using is dirty and I accidentally ripped the top part of it from washing it so hard to clean it. Lol :)

On my next sets of favorites - Alcohol Free Stridex Pads, this has just helped me with my break outs. It just dries them up faster than what I was using before. Special thanks to my friend Roma because she's the one that told me about this product :) Next is the Vaseline Cocoa Butter - I use this on my lips everyday. Its very moisturizing and I just love the scent to it. I really wanted to get the tiny tub that they have but they only had it for the original vaseline so I bought it anyway and took out the original out and replaced it with the cocoa butter vaseline. For some reason, the original one in the tiny tub had a weird taste to it. Next you've seen on my haul.. My Alex and Ani bracelets! Been loving these.. I wear them all the time! They are just too cute! Last and final favorite for the month is my sideway cross bracelet. Another special thanks to my friend Roma! She got this for me for Christmas (just recently got it that's why it's in my February favorites) and I just love dainty pieces like this. So crazy how I have been wanting one and she read my mind :)

So there you go ladies.. Hope you enjoyed my February Favorites! Any questions/comments, please write below :) Bye!

Mini Haul

Wanted to post a small haul for you guys today. As you can see, I have been posting quite a few things on here. Let's just say I am motivated :) Plus I haven't really posted anything for awhile now. I guess I just accumulated a few things to post on here. Okay so back to the haul.. It's not a very big haul - let's call it a mini. Just a few things I have collected within the few weeks that has passed.. from fashion, jewelry, and make-up.

Here's a cute top I got at our PX here. I really like the color combination of the neon and beige. The back has a scoop so it shows a little of your back. It also has the long tails on both sides and it's a hi-low top. The brand is Poof.

Next one - more tops! I don't know what it is, but I was just attracted to these type of tops - the sleeveless with collar tops and chiffon. I guess it is somewhat of a trend and I just can't wait until Spring! Although here in Germany, it's still really cold during Spring! :( Anyway, on the left is just a pastel pink with black collar by Ali & Kris. The one on the right is just a plain green collared top. It is a hi-low type top and I just loved the gold buttons on it. It is also by Ali & Kris. Oh, I also bought both of these at our PX. That is why I am not very familiar with the brands.

I bought this cross sleeveless top at a local store here in Germany called New Yorker. It's a pretty cute store.. lots of cute clothing and accessories! I just liked this top because of the cross in the front and I believe there were other colors, but the gray was a better choice for me. The boots were bought at the PX. They are Steve Madden boots. The original price was a little too much for me, but found out that it was half off so I had to get them. It was a great deal! Plus, I was able to find almost the same type of boots for my daughter so we match. Lol :)

So with all the rave on arm candies, I jumped on the band wagon. Lol :) They are cute and I am just loving bracelets right now. Heard about Alex and Ani bracelets from a beauty guru on youtube and of course I had to find them online. They have their own website, which is Alex and Ani. But I ended up buying mine at ZeeBerry because I found a coupon code online. Anyway, I have been wearing these bracelets ever since I bought them. I just love them and thinking about getting one more :)

Here's the rest of the stuff - A pink Hello Kitty watch with diamonds around it and of course, Hello Kitty's face inside which you probably can't see because of my lighting. Sorry. Isn't it super cute? I love it! Really love anything Hello Kitty :) The make-up brand Catrice (from Germany) just came to one of the stores close by. I used to have to travel about 20-25 minutes to go get this brand. I wanted to try one of their mascara. This has a small brush for my lower eyelash. Next is the Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Corrector. Heard about this on Allure online and thought I could give it a try. I do have some blemishes from past and present break outs. Let's see if it works! And the last and final haul is the Manhattan Gel Eyeliner in brown. I didn't buy this to use as an eyeliner, but for my eyebrows. Seen a tutorial on youtube on using a gel eyeliner with a brush to define your brow. Tried it a couple of times and I'm liking it. I just need to learn on how to tone it down a little. I guess I'm just not used to using a gel eyeliner on my brows. This is also a German brand make-up.

Well that concludes my haul. More to come in the future! If you have any questions or comments, please leave it below. Until next time :)

Cooking with Carree :)

Hi ladies! Ok so my posts are kind of late. Anyway, lately I have been trying some new recipes and I wanted to share them with you. I got these recipes from my sister and one of them is actually a favorite of mine, a Filipino dish using Shrimp paste. I know a lot of people haven't tried shrimp paste or maybe they have tried it before and don't like it. It's an acquired taste, but I love it. So the first recipe I tried is a salmon recipe. I don't really know a lot of seafood recipes because I grew up not learning any, but I love me some seafood! So I was excited to get this one from my sister! Made it and it was yummy! Here is a picture of the end product. Not a very great picture but believe me it was yummy!

If you want to try this recipe, click here and here for the recipe! Enjoy!

The other recipe I tried is called Binagoongang Baboy or Pork cooked with Shrimp Paste. This is something I never tried cooking myself, but it is what I eat whenever I go home to the Philippines. Anyway, the turn out was great! The only thing I would've changed was added eggplant in it. I will definitely do that next time :)

Not very appealing.. lol, but if you want to try this recipe, click here. Enjoy and if any of you try the recipes, please leave a comment and let me know how it turned out! Thanks!

February Workshop

So I had a Stampin' Up! workshop on February 23. I actually had it here in my house and I was excited! Of course, I was able to see the same scrapbooking buddies and it was a lot of fun! The theme was Easter so we made some Easter baskets! I was so excited that I wasn't able to take any pictures.. boo :( Plus, the ladies traveled for 3 hours due to snow so we were kind of short in time. I wanted to share some pictures of some goodies the ladies brought me! Thanks again ladies for coming and visiting me. I had lots of fun!

Aren't they the sweetest! Thanks ladies :)
